The hospitality extended to Special Olympics athletes in Heraklion included a visit to Cretaquarium-Thalassocosmos. Teams from Cyprus, Mexico, Aruba, Estonia and the Isle of Man had the chance to enjoy a tour of the Thalassocosmos facilities and get a close-up view of Mediterranean marine life. A brief refresher before they depart for Athens, where the 2011 Special Olympics are being held from 25th June – 4th July.
The HCMR President and the Cretaquarium-Thalassocosmos management and staff join in wishing the very best of success to all the athletes, who made for an extra special day here at the aquarium by coming to visit us.
